Handling: Miata Versus Other Cars
This data was taken from test results of Motor Trend magazine. This information, except for the Racing Beat Miata, was published in the March 1997 issue of Motor Trend. The Racing Beat test results were published in the June 1997 issue of Motor Trend.
On the following table, the column labeled Lateral is Lateral Acceleration in "g"'s. Slalom is average speed through a 600 foot slalom course.

The Racing Beat Miata set an all time record for the Motor Trend Slalom test!

The picture above is the picture of the Racing Beat Miata. The suspension has been upgraded to Racing Beat springs, anti-roll bars with adjustable links, stainless steel brake lines and Tokico Illumina shocks. The engine upgrades are K&N air filter, Ultra ignition wires, Racing Beat headers and exhaust. The tires are Yokohama A-008R S ton Racing Beat 15x7.0 inch wheels.
