Like Payakan, Ta’nok is a tulkun who also rose up in defense of their clan pod against the RDA, defying the tulkun tenet of pacifism above all. She carries the scars of her struggle, blinded and disfigured from her encounter with the RDA’s hunting tools. However, Ta’nok’s fierce resolve remains. Together with Payakan as the remaining survivors of their pod, along with Lo’ak and their friends, Ta’nok makes her voice heard to the Tulkun Council of Elders. Speaking for those she lost during the terrible attack by the RDA, Ta’nok is able to successfully appeal to the elders, encouraging them to stand in defense of the gathered mothers and calves at the Calf Communion ceremony.
