The youngest daughter of Tonowari and Ronal of the Metkayina, Pril was born at the height of the Battle at the Cove of the Ancestors. Though mortally wounded in the fighting, Ronal made it her final effort to deliver Pril before her death, all the while Neytiri stood guard. A mother ever recognizing another mother’s strength, Neytiri promised Ronal that she would protect the child through the remainder of the conflict, and carried the infant in a protective pouch until the RDA and Mangkwan forces were routed.

In the wake of the battle, Tonowari found new camaraderie with Jake Sully as he began to navigate the grief of losing a loved one to war, and the strength to raise his daughter as a widower.
