The Cannonball Fruit Tree (Na’vi: “rumaut”) is a deciduous, fruit-bearing tree native to the Valley of Mo’ara. It is so named for the unusual way the Na’vi harvest its large, yellow, orange, red, and purple fruits: by throwing them to the ground as hard as they can, from the highest available perch.

The Cannonball Fruit is exceptionally tough to crack, but Na’vi harvesters have discovered that by leveraging gravity and strength to split the husk, they can insert prying tools to separate it from the fruit inside.
