Na'vi Language
While the Na’vi clans of Pandora are diverse and widespread, their centralized spoken language remains largely consistent across the known regions of Pandora. This blanket consistency mirrors that of their shared connection to Eywa. However, minor dialectal differences have been observed between the forest Na’vi and the Na’vi of the coastal regions.
In the absence of a true written form of the language, early RDA xeno-anthropologists developed a germanic approximation to assist with cross-species communication. This alphabet consists of seven vowel sounds, twenty consonant sounds, four diphthongs and two “syllabic pseudo-vowels” for a total of thirty-three distinct sounds which make up its words.
Common phrases include “oel ngati kame” (I See you), “sivako” (rise to the challenge) and “irayo ngaru” (thank you).
