I take concept art from the design team and create physical costumes and props for the Na'vi characters using a wide range of materials and techniques such as weaving and braiding with flax, leather, various threads, cords and beads. The challenge of my job is finding the balance between the concept art and the physical build. How can this be made in the real world and look like it’s been crafted by the Navi. The most exciting thing about working on the sequels is that we are able to delve deeper into the world of Pandora, and help shape and create a truly magnificent world.
