During our performance capture phase, I was a Mocap Assistant and Digital Save Operator, and now I'm a Virtual Camera Coordinator for the Lab. As a coordinator, I'm constantly problem-solving and bridging communication between our Editorial and Sequence departments with the goal of building files for virtual camera capture. My challenge is keeping the right information flowing to the right people and departments at all times. That and describing what I do to my Vietnamese immigrant grandparents! The most exciting thing about my work is feeling starstruck on a daily basis by my own fellow crew members.
What's surprising about your job?
It may sound like a desk job, but before we started working from home, I certainly got all my steps in from walking back and forth and up and down the stairs between all our department offices at MBS.
First job in film?
In college, I was assistant to James Hong on the first project he developed under his production company.
Most memorable thing from seeing Avatar in theatres?
The ambient buzz of excitement that filled the theater as the lights came on after the credits rolled.
What's a fun fact about yourself?
I'm a lifelong Angels baseball fan (go Halos!)
