James Cameron, Sigourney Weaver and composer Simon Franglen celebrate the launch of the experience.
On Sunday October 27, movie and music fans from across the globe descended upon the Royal Albert Hall in London to experience the world premiere of Avatar Live in Concert. As the 2009 epic played in its entirety on-screen, a live orchestra, choir and soloists performed the late James Horner’s score to accompany the film. To kick off the night of festivities, James Cameron and Avatar: The Way of Water composer Simon Franglen participated in a pre-performance Q&A moderated by Pierre O’Reilly — producer of Avatar Live in Concert — to discuss the film and the impact of James Horner’s music and legacy on the industry. Following the experience, the duo accompanied by Sigourney Weaver joined the musicians on stage for a final bow.
Avatar Live in Concert is a production of Avex Classics International. More dates for the global tour of Avatar Live in Concert to be announced soon.
