Sagittaria (Na’vi: “skuka”) share similarities with terran mollusks, octopi, squids, and mudskippers. Their hardened shells are prized by the Na’vi for use in shields, arrowheads, knives, and beads, and the Na’vi of the Valley of Mo’ara share a special bond with this creature.

The Sagittaria has a symbiotic relationship with the Reef Tick (Na’vi: “tsiki”), who benefit from the scraps Sagittaria leave behind after feeding.
