Witty and playful, Syanan is a young Na’vi from the Tawkami Clan. Though she has not yet completed her own Iknimaya rites of passage due to her age, Syanan has still garnered a reputation for boldness that challenges even the most daring and brash Na’vi among her clan. No matter how dangerous or deadly the task, Syanan will approach it with an inconceivable grace- singing and dancing her way through danger without care and leaving the breath caught in the throat of anyone watching. This lightness of life is quite attractive to the young men of her clan, and Syanan knows the best ways to play this to her advantage- turning a sly glance or an innocent bat of an eye into extra portions or sweet treats at clan meals. Her playful demeanor, however, belies the burning intellect of a Na’vi who sees her world differently from those around her and charts her own course.

When So’lek was injured during a fight with viperwolves while on the Path of the Promiser, Syanan nursed him to health. During his time in recovery, So’lek would learn much from her herbalism, gaining skill in medicine and Tawkami alchemy. After three months in her care, So’lek would continue his path and eventually arrive in the Western Frontier.
