Eykang is a messenger for the Olangi Clan, responsible for ferrying messages between the Olangi and the Tipani. While on one such journey, Eykang would encounter So’lek in Tipani territory. So’lek explained to Eykang that he was seeking the Tipani Clan, but had been unable to find them.

Before continuing on his task, Eykang advised So’lek that the Tipani Clan would only reveal themselves to him if they felt he was worthy of them. Unable to assist further, Eykang warned So’lek against following him so that he would not make both of their tasks more difficult, before disappearing into the forest.
